AES welcomes Dr. Najmi to its practice! Dr. Neeka Najmi is a board-certified optometrist, born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona.
She earned her doctorate in Optometry, and two bachelor’s degrees in Integrative Biology and Vision Science, from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating all degrees with honors. She completed her residency training in Ocular Disease and Low Vision at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System and Southwestern Blind Rehabilitation Center in Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Najmi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has been published in the Journal of Optometry.
Dr. Najmi offers comprehensive eye care, including urgent/emergent needs as well as routine eye exams for glasses and contact lenses, diabetic retinal exams, and the diagnosis and management of conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, double vision, dry eyes, red eyes, as well as pre- and post-operative eyecare. Dr. Najmi has been practicing full-scope optometry in Arizona since 2004 and is committed to promoting overall eye health.
In addition to her professional work, Dr. Najmi is deeply involved in community building activities. She hosts annual blood drives, teaches children’s virtues classes, organizes gatherings for public discourse through meaningful conversations, and contributes to positive change through a non-profit media organization she co-founded. Dr. Najmi also speaks fluent Persian/Farsi.
