About Us

AT ARIZONA EYE SPECIALISTS, WE STRIVE TO PROVIDE

OUTSTANDING HEALTHCARE SERVICES WITH COMPASSION.

“Serving the Phoenix valley since 1953.”

Our VISION at Arizona Eye Specialists is to be the leader in eye care; creating invaluable and endless relationships with our patients and staff while fostering a cooperative, team-oriented culture.

Arizona Eye Specialists has been developed around the following VALUES:

  • Patients First – Provide the highest quality & affordable care to our patients. Demonstrate exceptional personal care with each interaction.
  • Integrity – Regular self-evaluation of our practice and continuous quality improvement to assure the best possible clinical outcomes, patient safety and optimal use of medical resources. Honest & Trustworthy.
  • Deliver Excellent Results – We offer the most advanced medical care to the patients we serve.

We have long been respected as a leader in the field of ophthalmology and optometry. By staying at the forefront of technological advances, we can ensure that patients receive the latest, most effective treatment available.

We build our reputation one patient at a time. The greatest compliment we can receive is the referral of a friend or family member from one of our patients. A large percentage of our new patients come from past-patient referrals. This is because we help people in the Phoenix area achieve the clear vision they deserve to live the lifestyle they love.  We think that speaks volumes about our commitment to our outstanding service and patient care.

“As doctors, we have chosen to dedicate ourselves to preserving eyesight.

My personal goal is to approach each patient encounter as if I were treating a family member.”

OUR HISTORY

Arizona Eye Specialists (formally Associated Ophthalmologists) was founded in 1953 by Dr. John Aiello and Dr. Donald Longfellow. The first practice locations were in “Old Town” Scottsdale and in downtown Phoenix. In the late 1900s and early 2000s the practice grew with the addition of three valley locations; Glendale, Goodyear, and Gilbert along with a centralized business office located in Scottsdale. In 2015, we added the Contact Lens office in Central Phoenix. In 2016, a North Scottsdale location was added. In 2020, an additional office was added in Mesa, in early 2022, another office in Tempe and in spring of 2023 a Buckeye location was added. This brings the total of office locations throughout the valley to nine as an added convenience to better serve the patient. Today the practice has 17 providers that cover general Ophthalmology including sub-specialties such as Cataracts, Cornea, Glaucoma, Diabetes, Strabismus Specialty and Pediatric service, and Contact Lenses.
