Dr. Nathan Kanyinda is a board certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon. He specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, brow surgery, benign and malignant eyelid lesions, MOHS reconstruction, reconstruction after Bell’s palsy, orbital surgery, and tear duct surgery. He is one of the leaders in laser blepharoplasty surgery.
He also offers non-surgical cosmetic options including Botox, fillers, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, and skin rejuvenation products.
Dr. Kanyinda graduated among the top of his class at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, receiving academic honors as well as a nomination to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His internship was at the University of Hawaii and his residency was at Howard University Hospital & VA Medical Centers in Washington, DC, and Orlando, FL. He received his fellowship from the University of New Mexico Hospital, Albuquerque, NM.
Dr. Kanyinda is proficient in Spanish and fluent in French. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Kanyinda enjoys mentoring medical and pre-medical students via social media, podcasts, and speaking engagements.
