Dr. Kelly A. Reed was born and raised in southeast South Dakota. She received her doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, and completed her undergraduate studies at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, graduating Summa Cum Laude at both institutions. She completed internships at The Eye Center, Southern College of Optometry, Eyesight Ophthalmic Services in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Omaha Eye and Laser Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. Following optometry school, she received additional training through her residency at the Southern Nevada VA in Las Vegas.

Dr. Reed’s special interests include diagnosing and managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy as well as contact lens fittings including spherical, toric, and multifocal lenses. She has participated in mission trips to Costa Rica, Mexico, and El Salvador, providing eye exams to thousands of underserved individuals. Dr. Reed is a member of the American Academy of Optometry.

Outside of work, Dr. Reed enjoys traveling, hiking, attending sporting events, spending time with family and friends, and finding new local restaurants to explore.
